Every so often, someone will email me and ask for the best tips for getting busy. Recently, music came up: what’s the best playlist for sex?

best playlist for sex
Tough question

It’s kind of a tough question because it comes down to preferences. And some folx are hella particular about their music. I’m no exception- though I *am* feeling SUPER JUDGED by this AI Bot who evaluated my whole Spotify as “14% basic.” Pearls clutched!

– In my defense, I use Spotify mostly for my meditation music and one playlist I made to wake up my youngest, so yeah, I listen to U2’s “Beautiful Day” unironically. –

Anyway, my Songs for Sex Spotify playlist contains a LOT of varied music. Lots of old stuff I had on the 1st gen iPod. Yeah, if you’re not old enough to remember that device, then I’ve been having sex before you were born. Might wanna give it a listen.

Take a glance at the artist list. Notice the varied genres. This list is NOT intended to be played on shuffle; I tried to organize them from more mellow to harder and then back to softer stuff. Kind of mimicking the sexual response cycle – desire, arousal, (plateau), orgasm, resolution.

Play sections of it based on your sexual style. I’ve got sappy lovey stuff for the romantics. Hard beats for banging. Nasty lyrics for nasty folx. You name it. Though, I will add a warning for explicit lyrics on a few of these.

Some of the songs have entertaining music videos too. Like “Get Naked” where EVERYONE including Lil Kim, George Clinton, and Tommy what’s-his-name, is naked. Well, everyone except Fred Durst.

Got suggestions?

I haven’t added anything new to this playlist in a while, so if you have some bangers (pun intended) that need to be added, drop me a comment and I’ll consider it.

I hope you like my nomination for “best playlist for sex.” Please give it a like 👍🏼  over in Spotify and share it with your friends.

If you wanna thank me for this carefully and consciously curated list, please buy me a coffee. 😃
